Terms of Use
End User License Agreement · Last updated: September 28, 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Arthur Stepanov (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the Teleprompter app for iPhone and iPad (the “App”). By downloading, installing or using the App, or by purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms are concluded between you and us only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”).
Key points
- Subscriptions are billed by Apple and renew automatically until you cancel them in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
- Your scripts and videos belong to you and are stored on your device. Please keep your own backups.
- You are responsible for getting consent from anyone you record and for following recording laws where you are.
1. Who we are
The App is developed and published by Arthur Stepanov, an individual developer (the name shown as the seller on the App Store). Email: teleprompter.support@gmail.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the App only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who must review and accept these Terms on your behalf. You must not use the App if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.
3. The App
The App lets you write and store scripts, display them as a scrolling teleprompter, record video of yourself while reading and scroll the text by voice (“Voice Scroll”). Some features are free and others require a paid subscription (“Premium”), as described in the App. Some features require a compatible device or a recent version of iOS. We may update the App and add, change or remove features from time to time; if a change materially reduces Premium features you have paid for, you may cancel your subscription as described in section 4.
4. Subscriptions and free trials
4.1 Premium
Premium unlocks the features described on the subscription screen at the time of purchase (for example, unlimited scripts, recording without a time limit and videos without a watermark).
4.2 Plans and prices
Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, for example weekly or yearly. The available plans, their length and their price are shown in the App before you buy. Prices may vary by country and may include taxes, as determined by Apple.
4.3 Free trial
Some plans may include a free trial. The trial length and the price that will be charged after the trial are shown before you start it. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial, it will automatically convert into a paid subscription. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and is generally limited to one trial per Apple ID. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
4.4 Billing and automatic renewal
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of your plan.
- You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your App Store account settings after purchase.
4.5 How to cancel
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, select Teleprompter and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Premium until then. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
4.6 Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple, and we cannot issue refunds or access your payment details. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Refunds are subject to Apple’s policies and to any rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
4.7 Price changes
We may change subscription prices. Any change applies from your next billing period. Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before a price increase takes effect.
4.8 Restoring purchases
If you reinstall the App or use a new device with the same Apple ID, tap “Restore purchases” in the App to restore your active subscription.
5. License
Your license to use the App is granted under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These Terms supplement the Standard EULA. If these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict regarding your license to use the App, the Standard EULA prevails.
In addition, you may not, and may not allow anyone else to: (a) copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, lease or sublicense the App; (b) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except to the extent the law expressly permits this; (c) remove watermarks, bypass subscription checks or otherwise circumvent any technical limitation of the App; or (d) use the App to build a competing product. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.
6. Your content
6.1 You own your content
You keep all rights to the scripts you write and the videos you record (together, “Your Content”). We do not claim any ownership of Your Content.
6.2 Storage and backups
Your Content is stored on your device. We do not keep a copy of it and cannot recover it if it is lost, for example if you delete the App, lose your device or reset it. You are responsible for keeping your own backups, for example with iCloud Backup or by saving videos to your Photos library.
6.3 Your responsibility
You are responsible for Your Content and for having all rights and permissions needed to create, record and use it.
7. Recording other people
The App shows a clear recording indicator while it records. You must use recording features lawfully. In particular, you must:
- obtain the consent of every person you record where the law requires it (in some places, all people present must agree to audio or video recording);
- respect other people’s privacy and publicity rights and do not record them secretly;
- not record in places where recording is prohibited; and
- follow all laws that apply to publishing or sharing your recordings.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to break the law, infringe intellectual property or other rights, harass or harm others, create or distribute unlawful content, interfere with or disrupt the App or the servers and services it uses, attempt to gain unauthorized access to them, or use automated means to access the App’s online features.
9. Our intellectual property
The App, including its code, design, interface, graphics, text (other than Your Content) and the Teleprompter name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without any obligation to you.
10. Third-party services
The App relies on services provided by third parties, including Apple and the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. Their services are subject to their own terms. When you use the App, you must comply with any applicable third-party terms, such as the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and your wireless data service agreement. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. It forms part of these Terms.
12. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that Your Content will be preserved. Nothing in these Terms affects the rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including, in the EU and UK, your statutory rights regarding the conformity of digital content and services.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or content (including recordings and scripts), arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for all claims related to the App is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) USD 50.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
14. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) brought by third parties that arise from Your Content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right, for example recording a person without the required consent.
15. Apple
These Terms are concluded between you and us, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App, its content, maintenance, support and any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Standard EULA and may enforce it against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
16. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access to the App’s online features if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms or if the law requires it. Ending your use of the App does not cancel your subscription with Apple; cancel it as described in section 4.5. Sections 6, 9 and 12 to 19 survive termination.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example to reflect changes to the App or the law. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you in the App before they take effect. Changes that affect paid features apply from your next billing period. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the App and cancel your subscription.
18. Disputes
Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live, including your right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at teleprompter.support@gmail.com. We will reply within 14 days and try in good faith to resolve the issue within 30 days.
19. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a sale or transfer of the App, provided your rights are not reduced. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. If these Terms are translated, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
